NASDE

Welcome to the National Association of Swing Dance Events (NASDE).

Our mission is to inspire the best  swing dancers in the world to compete for prizes worthy of their talent. Since 1995, NASDE has proudly awarded over $36,000 in cash prizes to hundreds of competitors.

The NASDE tour officially started in 1995 with Capital Swing. The tour has grown and changed over the years; the only events that partook in the original tour still on our schedule today are Capital Swing, Boogie by the Bay, and The Open Swing Dance Championships. All other current tour events joined NASDE later, after satisfying the entrant qualifications.

NASDE will pay out its annual prize money to competitors of Classic and Showcase divisions at the NASDE tour events.  The awards are presented at The Open to the top point earning couples.

Effective with the 2023 season, NASDE assumed the role of managing body for the Rising Star Tour.

This website serves as a data repository for the tour standings of each year’s competitors. It also contains important information related to rules, requirements, points, prizes and other guidelines related to the tour.
